The 2017 Extraordinary Women's Awards Gala and Benefit Dinner!

Wow!  We had such an amazing time last Friday night for the gala!  We had a great turnout and everyone had a fantastic time!  In case you missed it, here is a little recap!

Doors at the Renaissance Hotel opened at 6:30, and guests were greeted by roaming characters provided by Epic Events!  It was a fun and festive way to kick off the evening!  Appetizers and cocktails were served while people enjoyed some background Cuban music and played on the Mirror-Me photo booth.  Guests also had the chance to buy raffle tickets to win some great prizes provided by Go Dance, The Texas Tech Club, Rawls Golf Course, Steve Armstrong Photography, Allan and Nicole Nutt, The Renaissance Hotel, 5 Star Jewelry, Live Your Best, Rose Dental Group, Alina Sholar, MD; Zbranek and Holt Custom Homes, The Alamo Drafthouse, and Raeka Beauty.  Because of these fabulous donations, we  were able to raise about $2500 for the Center for Child Protection.

Dinner and dessert was served, and our MC for the evening, Ryan Guthrie with Altared Weddings and Events (who also provided the lighting, AV work, and photo booth for the evening), brought our attention to award nominees.  Thank you to Raymond James Financial for your generous sponsorship for the awards!  Here are the winner for this year!

Melanie Hudson from Texas Tech University, congratulations on winning The Young Woman of the Year award!

Karen Rapp with National Instruments, congratulations on winning the Corporate Woman of the Year!

Kristen Huguley, congratulations on winning the Community Member of the Year!

Spruce Dickerson, congratulations on winning Philanthropist of the Year!

Lisa Magruder, congratulations on being this year's Rising Star!

Teri Evans, congratulations on being the Entrepreneur of the Year!

We also welcomed Kelly Siegler the stage to introduce her as the incoming President, and awarded Meredith Guthrie the Board Member of the Year.  Sadly, we wished our administrator, Alison Bandy, a tearful farewell as she leaves us for great opportunities elsewhere!

Congratulations all around!  We cannot wait to do it again next year!
